Allright heres the story. I was going down the road in an industrial park and my check engine light comes on so i turn off on this little dirt road (that leads down to a big dirt place) to check the oil. I drive about 30 feet down this dirt road and stop, get out, and what do i see??? About 10 2 inch long nails sticking out of each tire. I walked up the little road and somebody had pushed the nails head first down in the dirt so the sharp ends are stickin up. There was probally about 200 nails laying on the road. Well i moved all the nails out of the road and limped home on 4 almost flat tires. Like I told my buddy that was riding with me "I think a simple NO TRESPASSING sign would have kept me out of there."
So this brings me to my real question. Which tires should i get? I know we prolly here this question once a day right. lol
Heres my stats so you guys can help me narrow it down to what tire i should get

Im 17 and broke...key word there BROKE so keep budget in mind
Im wanting 31/10.50/15 cause thats what i have now...(pro comp MT)
I want an all around good trail tire (I dont fool with too much mud)
Oh yeah and the cheaper the better
thanx

Since youre, not so well financially, Ide hit up craigslist and see whats on there first. Theres usually something good on there, for not too much.

But of course, the better the tire, the more expensive its gonna be. (KEEP THAT IN MIND) Unless of course you come across one hell of a deal.

If you can afford new tires, than definitely go for those new tires!

Used Tires. I got two good goodyear wranglers installed and balanced for 120 bucks. They have great tread left too.

Ide still go with those....and save up your money for something else.
A bigger lift perhaps? Skids? ...or have money saved for those "OH ****" moments.

Well i got to do the real test today since I got off work early and they did great. I tryed a couple decent sized hills with some small rocks and i went through a mud hole that was up to the bottom of the doors and they pulled through it all with no problems at all...Now on to my question...
Im thinking about getting some pro comp steel wheels and Im not sure what size and backspacing i need. I know i need 15s but im confused on the 15x8,15x10,15x7,15x12. And what about backspacing? The tires are 31/10.5/15s

My big question why not have the old tires repaired and find a cheap set of wheels so that they can be trail tires if it did not puncture the side wall they can be fixed . It would have saved you mad cash
