I Need Help with this(Sorry if it's in wrong section I dunno where to put it)
Okay So I'm trying to convert my home Subwoofer to a car subwoofer. I have removed all the "Home" Electronic parts to the subwoofer. I'm only left with volume control, and Speaker hook up points. But the power cable to all that has five diffrent wire's. One red one brown one purple one yellow and one orange. So i've determined. That from the volume control to the speaker is a red and black wire. And one to The On/Off Light is red and a yellow wire. But it's in two. One half's red/gray others red/yellow. I'm Just unsure which one's power them. They all lead from the Thing that's just a bunch of copper wire wrapper around something. Dunno what's it called. But There were blue and white wires that lead into that from the Outlet after going through a fuse. I hope somebody understands what im saying haha

A second thread for the same thing? Just forget about using a home theater subwoofer and look into actual car audio equipment.

Dude, please go buy a Walmart special subwoofer!
They're cheap. You don't even have to rig anything up or use any duct tape...
Check it!

For 81 bucks you can have a jammin system, mang!
Just lay the subs in the back seat and you're good to go!

You buy a different speaker! That speaker is not intended to be ran in your vehicle on 12 volts.
It's an 8ohm (most likely) sub. You're going to need a HUGE amp to even make the thing do anything.
Spend 100 bucks and buy a sub that is intended to go in a car.
