I must share my joy
Today I went to the jy fully expecting to leave with some minor parts and I finally found my over head console.
Here's the story I've been looking for one of these since I got the jeep in December. I go to the jy about three to four times a month cause my prices are ridiculously cheap and I am always late, already pulled and by always I mean I have only seen two of them on a 97.
I stroll up to a 98, look inside and yet again the overhead console was removed, but after some cursing I say hey be happy I see the wiring harness uncut and the bracket ok nice day. I decide to walk a bit and look for the front visor, no visor and I go back to the 98. I say what the hell let me check the back, and yes it was there. I almost **** my pants I started yelling at the jy. It could not have been better, late model 97 classic. (98 sticker)
and yes I test fit it today everything pluged in and its working, now I can finally start on my interior.
sorry for the long read, had to share they are out there.

The same thing happened to me! I saw it was removed and was like hell I'll just get the wiring. My buddy goes "How much do you love me?" I went "huh?" and he pulls it out from the back

Hey man that looks awsome! I'm loving the headliner where did you get that fabric from? I'm in the process of painting my dash camo but its a painfully time consuming task. Unfortunately I have more time than money right now haha.
