this was the first jeep i ever did any fabrication on. it was a 91 mj with 120k miles. it was probably the cleanest jeep i have owned. i was 19 at the time and still in auto tech school. started out with a sun roof out of an xj, fabtech 4 inch lift, lincoln locked d35 and 34 inch ltb's. drove it like that for about a year and kept breaking track bar after track bar. one day i was out in some mud holes and broke my track bar and both front axles....all at the same time. never once had a prob with the lincoln locked d35! i was amazed.

well, i decided i wanted to go with some bigger axles but keep the suspension simple. went with a hp d44 front and 9 inch rear. used a main cherokee rear leaf and the rest mj up front with mj leafs in the rear, sprung over. built high steer using $900 worth of poison spyder parts.....this was right after they got big and i didnt know any better.

i only wheeled it twice with this setup before i had a guy with a yj on 38's, dovetailed, scrambler half cab, custom cage, bla bla told me he wanted to trade me straight up. i really wanted a wrangler at the time so i did it.

sorry for the long winded thread, but i have regretted selling the mj since the day i did it! i prob wouldnt have owned 40+ jeeps since then if i didnt get rid of it!!!!

im gonna run this same setup on my new cheromanche xjuggy project. it just flat worked!! sorry for the crappy pic. its a pic of a pic!

the guy i traded it too ended up putting some 40's on it and selling it. i have heard it is sporting an exo cage now and is still around colorado.


also notice my buddys bleached hair!! gotta love the 90's!

i have owned over 60 vehicles now......40+ jeeps.....and im 28. i think i have been tryin to replace her for quite some time

my gf's first car was one of the jeeps that i built, and her second and third! she has been pissed at me for getting rid of all of them. now we bought her an xterra so i dont have to work on hers all the time!! damn jeeps!
