What clay said above. Though if you're too lazy: Run the intake tube into the cowl. Works good and doesn't look like ****. If you aren't concerned about looks and you need to go deeper, PVC pipe.

Cheapest? Cut a 3" hole in your hood. Run some dryer ducting up and zip screw it to your roof. use an old sock as a filter.

go to autozone or avanced auto(any auto store) and pick up a can of enamel heat resistant black spay paint and a cheap airfilter (not to big or small), they have sum for 25 bucks. then go to lowes or home depo and pick up sum pvc pipe for 5 bucks (enough to run from ya engine out da side and under the right fender and pvc2way conecter about 2inch in diameter. after u do this ur ready to start use a grinder to cut a hole thro the side where ur airbox used to b(the whole left side is empty). run the pipe under and out the side and ur good to go!!! cost about 30 bucks!!!!! look at my pprofile for pics if u want ill give u my number to further help

I definently understand why you guys are building snorkels. I like the function of a snorkel but their prices suck ARB almost $500 Air Flow $300 expensive breather tube. I think I'm gonna try the 3" PVC I'm electrician get that stuff all day long on commercial work. Also I don't know your guys experience but if you wanna bend pipe instead of fittings rent an electric PVC heater from Home depot a torch will also work but tends to melt plastic very easy heater can too if you don't rotate pipe. Diggin that idea can come with a way to remove when on street too.
