Yeah, some of the guys in the club have made comments like that. Personally I like to clean it when I get home from wheeling. I don't need to draw attention to myself having it covered in mud. It's a lot easier to check things over too. like this weekend I've got to do rear shocks. It wouldn't be much fun with mud/dirt falling in my face the whole time.

I don't wax mine much, but it makes the mud come off easier when I do.

Clean and waxed. Usually when I offroad I leave mud for a couple days after that it just gets annoying getting dirt on your pants every time you get in and out of your jeep.

I don't really clean it much, mostly just take a hose to it. But I keep it basically clean, just not totally cleaned and waxed.

Leaving mud on it is asking for rust...Not that it isn't going to come anyway.

Exactly, if there's no other reason that's enough. I've got enough rust, i'm not asking for more. But it can also hurt your paint, deteriorate rubber, mess up your wheel balance. But i do like for mine to shine.

i have OCD and detail my cars and & jeep 3 to 4x a month. Wax once a month. And i use Mequiars quick detail wax after every wash. All my friends are shocked at how smooth my vehicles are.

On long island there really is no where to go for trails. My only adventures are when it snows : (

Ya I mean I love seeing my jeep and other jeeps muddy but if u know anything about maintaining ur jeep or caring about it u wouldn't leave it covered in mudd for weeks. I understand leaving it for a few day and showing it off a bit but if u leave it to long it leads to problems. It'll start to cause more rust
I'll get into ur u joints and a bunch of stuff which can make them wear quicker and or break
And it makes it super hard working on ur jeep when u keep taking globs of dirt to the face

When it rains... It gets washed!!! I really dont go mudding mudding.. I got some mudd on my front and rear wheel wells.. Nothing major.. Mainly from mudd just flinging up. I see no need for me to wash it this time of year.. bc its Hunting season and it sees mudd everyday... But come after winter, she will get buffed out and waxed!!!

Nothing wrong with taking care of your ride. I try to keep mine in good shape, between daily driving, hunting and camping out of it. I stay outta the mud as much as I can. It's too much trouble to clean it all out of the undercarriage. Mud + Poor maintainance= Rust, and rust does not play well with unibody vehicles. I also cant stand a gross interior. There is no reason for moldy/smelly carpet and stained up seats. Ugh.
