No, I tried to post a pic of the kit on the ebay page. I didn't work. I do not understand how to use this forum I guess. I clicked quick reply in your msg. to get here, and now cannot find your post to make sure I addresses all the questions. Using the scroll bar on the rt. get's me to a post I answered two hours ago.
SO....Still playin' bass. I did that for 20 years, last ten spanned the 60's and 70s based out of Malibu. I even remember much of it!!

If you'd like, I can help you out with some screenshots and stuff on how to post pics. Click on my username and then click "Send private message to Basslicks" and I'll be more than happy to help you out.
As Roninofako said above though. You really don't need to waste your time or money with a Dana35. Unlocked on street tires, they're just fine. As soon as you start running larger tires or locking them though, they're at risk of snapping their puny axleshafts... and since MOST of them are held in by c-clips in the differential housing, if you snap an axleshaft, there's nothing to hold the axle in place anymore and, by extension, nothing to hold your wheel in place anymore....

The most bolt-on swap is a chrysler 8.25
Try your hardest to find one from a 97 or later and it will have beefier 29-spline axleshafts. Either way though, the c8.25 axle and differential is still stronger than a dana35 axle and differential.
God only knows why, but there's less aftermarket support for the chrysler 8.25 than there is the dana35.... but I'd choose an 8.25 any day over a turdy-5.... speaking of which, I need to get mine put together and get rid of the TURD under MY Jeep!

Haven't played in a couple years, honestly. I had to sell off all my equipment to keep our heads above water during the lovely economic downturn. Borrowed a bass a while back (was actually one of the ones I sold) to play for a church, but that was a couple years. I definitely miss it.
If you're ever nearby, I will gladly GIVE you my bass and amp. Just an old 4-string Ibanez setup, nothing special, but it'll still thump

Oh, and the reason there is so much aftermarket support for D35's is because that was the most common axle in YJ/TJ wrangdanglers.

I'm serious lol I would hand you the bass and amp. I haven't played in years. Wifey actually said to sell it on letgo or something but I doubt it's really worth anything. I wouldn't want to ship these bastards anyway

If you two can figure out the particulars and get the bass/amp and new owner fairly close to my route, you could be jamming in no time.
I'm a hack guitar player with a bass collecting dust in the corner myself.

I'm in northern MD and work in northern DE. Not too terribly far from Ocean County, NJ. I will be driving to Orlando next weekend. I wouldn't mind taking the "scenic route" through Ocala National Forest which would put me fairly close to Ocala proper.

One of these years I'd like to explore ONF some. Looks like a great place for the XJ or my dual sport bike.

19 works - I've gone up that way before. So that's half of the equation. There's still the issue of ~90 minutes between Ocean County, NJ and my work in Wilmington, DE. If Jeepin... can get it there (or close) you're good. Let's see what it looks like on his end.

ONF is pretty fun. Not as fun as Hardrock or some of the other more remote locations, but still fun, nonetheless. Mostly sand and mud. Lots of nice scenery. The bombing range perimeter is fun, as is Pipeline Road and Powerline Road. I've heard there are some good lime rock pits and whatnot, but I haven't found them yet.

Thanks man!
