Alright, I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't breaking some stupid rule they had... Because my parents would be extremely unhappy if I got in trouble for that. Thanks for the replies

It depends on your state's laws but you are probably ok, most states require a minimum loudness for horns but not a maximum.


Here is the requirement in PA:

(a) Condition of horns and Warning devices -
All components of a horn or warning device shall be in safe operating condition as descri bed in §175.80 (relating to inspection procedure).

(b) horn and Warning device Requirements -
A vehicle specified under this subchapter shall have a horn or other warning device which is audible under normal conditions at a distance of not less than 200 feet.
