Went and saw a 2000 Blue Cherokee Sport yesterday. 86,000 miles, rust free, maintenance records, the whole 9 yards. He was asking 6,000. Called him and left a VM offering $4500 he got back to me saying he is thinking about it. I'm expecting him to say no, but hoping yes!

Get pre-approved through your bank or pull the cash out of savings if you have it there. Show up with $4500 cash in hand and he would be stupid not to take it. If he doesn't just find the next nice Cherokee on the list. there are 100s out there for sale. Don't overpay to some greedy B*****d. The newest year XJ, a 2001, is now an 11 year old rig. $4500 is a fare offer for that XJ not matter how nice it is.

I agree, there are lots out there. Just a few years ago everyone wanted one for MPG's, at least around here, but gas prices went higher and now they're all trying to get rid of them.

Yeah, it's pretty crazy when I have a full size crew cab 4x4 chevy truck on a 6" lift and 35" tires, that my Jeep could fit in it's bed, that gets the same mileage my Jeep does. I don't care, though. I love my XJ and those guys can sell theirs because i will be needing a newer one thats not all dented up pretty soon.
