Alright so I'm not looking to use steel tail light boxes since I don't plan on running my Jeep through tight spaces in the woods or through small spaces on the rocks.
I'm looking into building a set of LED tail lights out of some plexiglass or polycarbonate. I figured that it would be pretty easy since the 84-96 XJ tail lamps are basically just boxes..... Has anyone already done this? If so, post some pics and share some links! I need some inspiration!

state trailer or any camp trailer store or ranch store has led stuff ranging in sizes that you could take apart to build your lights in the OEM taillight box

Meh, I dont want to be like everyone else on here and do the semi truck/flatbed LED lights.
I'm really just looking to modernize the tail lights, since they look ancient.
I've also been trying to buy a set of Wagoneer tail lights (since they're all one piece, are all red, and have chrome trim which is a lot like cars made nowadays.

If I can find a set of those, take them apart, and retrofit it with LEDS, I'll be happy lol.

They also have the right side. I was going to get them but i don't want to risk breaking them and throwing that Money down the drain.

Thanks for the link. I've already checked there for Wagoneer tails and they don't stock them. I've been searching for over a year now for a pair.

ahahaha i love my waggy tail lights, but yea waggys are hard to come by and they dont stock em cause they havent made em since 1990. Best bet is regular trips to the wrecker and hope ya get lucky.
as for custom tails aside from stock variations, steel casings and crappy aftermarket ricer lights there isnt much out there.
