2001 XJ, had a cracked head at 84,000...boo. Replaced the head myself and now plan to build a stroker next year. Up to 105k now w/o further problems. Dang 0331 casting!
A few years back I came across a 1992 XJ that had 320k miles on it. It looked brand new and ran great. Lots of highway miles from Michigan to Colorodo I guess...plus it was apparently well cared for by its owner (almost too well cared for).

I just turned 179K on my odometer on a 1990 XJ (pioneer) 2WD. Outside of standard replacements to the 4.0 (like water pump, new alt, etc.) she has been worry free till now....now I am tracking the mother of all oil leaks.
But at 179K...she still pushes hard, lays down rubber in three gears, and is comfy enough that my dog will actually ride in it. What more you need in life, eh?

This was not a grand cherokee, but I saw a ZJ at a junk yard that had over 800,000.I believe it had the 4.0 It looks to be a little hard to believe, but that is what the odometer said. And I had no camera with me.
Edit-

244000 still runs great, well tooken care of by previous owner, i got bored one day and rebuilt the top half of the engine, new headgasket, exhaust/intake gasket, thermo gasket, you know just the basics
