Default hid off road light

I've got the crappy Walmart off road lights that came with 55w halogen bulbs. My question. Can I run 100w hid xeon bulbs in these lights? It looks like they will swap right in... anyone have experience with these style of light bulbs. I have none!

Should be fine, just make sure your wiring can handle the current.

no you cannot. the reason being is because they are not a projector housing they will not cast the light pattern needed to run HID's. a good H3 bulb upgrade and new wiring is the best bet for you. i run Sylivan ultra whites (100w) in my cheap Walmart (reverse) light housings and in my 4 hella forward facing housings and could not be happier. i run them with 12awg wiring and it was the best upgrade for lighting today.

I ran 12 ga wiring the first time around so i think 100w should be ok right?

yes. as long as they are an H3 housing (which 99% sure they are) then they will work just fine
