Default HID fog lights

Went searching around every where and I found a couple of posts about the idea of HID fog lights. I don't have fog lights, just HID head lights I put in and i want to put in some fog lights where the factory ones would have been. From what I've read, it seems that i can go get a 30$ set of lights from autozone and swap the bulbs out for the HID's. What i want to know is if i could use the orginal wiring from the fog light kit without burning anything up. thanks!

HIDs use less power than Halogen, usually 35 or 55 watts. The high voltage surge to ignite the burners runs over aftermarket cabling between the ballasts and the burners so your stock wiring won't be worried by it.
