Smile Hi From Kazakhstan

Hi american friends and not american) I have a XJ coupe in very poor condition. Engine 2.5 mechanics. Think about the swap from a 5.2 Grand Cherokee and a 4 litre 1uz-fe from Toyota. Who knows, could you tell me that easier and better?

Either engine will be very hard to swap and you'll have to make a lot of parts like motor mounts and maybe a trans adapter if you keep the stock gear box.Only swap i would do is a gm v8 either a 350 or ls1 if you got those over there.

Personally, I would go with the 5.2, but only if you have a donor rig to rob parts off of. Take the engine, trans and transfer case. The radiator will be needed too, and you will need to replace the front cross member with one like the ZJ

If you put a toyota engine in a Jeep it might burst into flames.

Just kidding. A Toyota 1 or 2JZ fits pretty nicely because of the inline 6 configuration.
