WoW, sorry to hear about your loss.
How was the oil pressure before it blew apart?

I agree with some of the others, i wouldn't buy a used engine without hearing it run first. It might work out buying an engine without hearing it run but its a toss of the dice.
Hope it all works out for you.
Think how happy you'll be with another engine.

I had an unexplainable tick growing louder and louder in my 270k engine that was driving me crazy. Finally had enough and had a Chrysler 4.0 engine installed. Yes Chrysler still has 4.0 crate engines in stock. 3yr. 100,000 mile warranty but BIG BIG bucks!

My oil pressure was fine and temp was fine before death, and as soon as the knocking got louder I was watching my gauges more than I was probably watching the road. (not good I know but when my engine is blowing apart I'm gonna worry about my gauges) and they shockingly were staying in their normal spots. If I had thrown parts through the block in sure the oil pressure would have dropped.

Then again my oil was like 50/50 oil and antifreeze

It lasted quite a few good months. I'd say close to a year give or take a little never tracked when exactly the tick started.
