Welcome

you should be fine with the DS. I have a 4.5" lift myself with 33" tires and mine still work. would upgrade the u-joints though...

and most kits are lacking extended brake lines and sway bar disconnects, make su you find a set of these as well...

That 5 speed should be an Aisin AX-15, & is pretty stout for most folks.

You will probably need to either use a slip yolk eliminator with a new driveshaft that has a double cardan joint.

I'm not sure if you can get away with dropping the crossmember down a little. Mine has a 3" lift & a 1" drop at the t-case & still has a slight vibe.

Edit; be sure to do plenty of research before you get started.

If you do decide to drop the crossmember, there are 2 bolts & 2 studs holding it to the frame. The bolts come right out, but the studs can't pass through the crossmember. They have little shoulders on them & you'll need to lower the crossmember (one side at a time will work) to get the studs out.

Failing to do this will strip the welded nuts inside the frame. Yes I have first hand experience with that.

its a pain. The intake and air box all have to come off..... veery time consuming.... but it is worth it for the increased throttle response and the sound. IMO.

Cool. Welcome to the Forum. How'd you like you old Toyota pickup? I used to have a 94 extended cab. Loved that thing but the motor blew up on me because the PO's used it for mudding, overheated it, and bent a rod. I paid $800 for it not running, got it running, blew it up and sold it for $1,500 ha

nice. i had a 1989 for like 3 years that had the 3.0 in it and i mudded the Pi$$ out of it and it kept going. i sold it for $3500. lol. and my 1993 i only drove it 1 time...and that was to go trade it for the jeep. my uncle blew the head gasket driving to work one day. idk how...he would never let the truck get over 2500rpm.
