I'm in the market for news tires here soon and these are the two I have it narrowed down to. Do you own either? What do you think of them? I will be using them on my DD with mild trail riding and mudding sprinkled in between. I can get either set at just above cost some I can't pass it up and can't choose other tires. Let me hear your thoughts.......

Neither tire are popular when talking about purchasing tires.. The hurcules I know only have a 2 ply side wall which makes them undesirable. The nokians are a good all around mt. Especially if you want a mt and deal with snow covered roads were u live

I have the hercules trail diggers ...this is my second jeep thats had them and ive never had a problem with them....yet....good in mud and snow and for a mt they have very little roadnoise
Nokian are known for snow tires. You have some odd tire choices. Falken Rocky Mountain a/t's are pretty good in the mud and are decently priced. Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs are probably the best on/offroad mud tires out right now; not to loud on road and clean out pretty nice offroad.

In the end though, those are AT's.. And your looking at the hurcules mt and nokian mt.. I'd go with the nokian myself but if 94bob is happy with the hurcules I expect you would be to.

If I go for the Nokians, I'd get the Vatiiva MT's. I've heard about the sidewall issue with the Trail Diggers. I've also heard that, for whatever reason, some sizes have 3 ply sidewalls. If thats true, I don't know. I'll have to look into it further.

I've owned a few sets of Nokians in the past. The Hakkapeliitas Q's and R's are the best snow tires i've ever owned by far. Those were on passenger cars though. I've heard nothing but good about both of my options, except for the sidewall deal.
I was dead set only BFG KM2's but I can't get either the Nokians or the Hercules for about $110 a tire, installed and I have the option to add a warranty for $15 per tire. Decisions, decisions.........
