Default Help with cut rear fenders??

I decided to trim the rear fenders just below the lip but over the bolt holes and it appears my fenders have sseperated into 2. Any ideas on how to join them together again?

You need to have them welded back together. You're not supposed to go past the pinch welds or that happens.

Weld it back together.

I did the same thing.. only I cut all my fenders. Of course the back I had to weld after I cut, but for looks and a semi tire protectant, I liquid nailed rubber tubing on the seams and sharp edges just so if there is ever a chance I get into a bind, I have a chance to protect my tires.

So how do you go about covering up the bolt holes, since you're not supposed to cut past them?

the rears you cut up and down and fold into the wheel well or you can cut them and have a gap and do like i did and riveted some lawn edging and sealed the seams with black rtv looks ok but mine is temp for tube fenders
