lol, the OP's is a 99. It's in the downpipe, same way on my 97. I'm not saying you can't pull it all together... I'm saying it's not easier to pull the entire head just to get the manifolds off.

Also, I don't think your 92 has the alignment dowels in the block, so you can actually slide your head off once it's unbolted rather than having to pick it straight up.

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't feel like doing a head gasket.
Recommend stock motor mounts or aftermarket? I've heard brown dog has good ones but I've also heard they give off a lot of vibration.
It's really simple to do, just a little time consuming your first time. You don't have any fluids to deal with (with the exception of a little gas from the fuel rail that will spill). Just a bunch of plugs and bolts. Since you're able to do all the suspension work you've done (I've followed your build - awesome work BTW), you'll have zero problem doing the headers.
When you have everything apart, you'll have very easy access to that motor mount, CPS, and freeze plugs. Things that would be a PITA otherwise. So if you may need those done, now would be a good time
Oh and get some copper gasket spray for the manifold gasket. And spray the crap out of it on both sides before putting it on. It'll really help with possible exhaust leaks

Of course aftermarket are recommended, especially since you're lifted and have more stress on the mounts. Brown Dog makes a motor mount that has an "Ultra-Flex Rubber" bushing that won't give off the same vibes of a prothane mount. These are the mounts I plan on getting once my OEMs are no longer good

Cool, thanks. I will have to look into these. I see they have a lifetime warranty, except for the bushings. I wonder if the bushing can be replaced later down the road if necessary. For a hundred bucks I sure hope so.

Also make sure the intake is fully-seated and cozy before you bolt everything else up. First time I bolted mine up I had a huge surprise when the engine almost blew.
Killed the engine in time though, then felt like a fool
