Default having some issues with my pioneer deck

i have a deh-p4200ub head unit and 4 ts-a1374r speakers in my 99 xj. when i listen to the raido the speakers sound great and crystal clear. but when i use the usb and aux input i get static/poping when i turn the volume up. i have no idea whats causing this to happen. any ideas?

not really sure where to put this thread so i hope this is the right place lol

Mine does this too. Try using an auxiliary cable.

Maybe a stupid question... But is everything plugged in all the way, check the connections on the back of your deck AND your amp

But I also said check the connections on your deck, wasn't saying just the amp. I had the exact same problem with the popping and static on my old deck, was a loose wire internally. Radio worked fine because it runs on a different feed compared to the aux or even cd player. I run my speakers from my amp, another reason why I asked, never know.

What is the volume on the devise you're plugging into the deck set at? In my wife's car with a factory radio, it will sound distorted and muddy if the volume on my ipod is all the way up, I turn the ipod volume down just a little and it sounds a lot better.

i checked the wires going into the back of the deck, are you saying i should take it apart and look at the wires inside?

around 80-90% i know that putting it at full volume on the ipod will distort the speakers from being in my friends cars and using there aux cables so i never put it up all the way

Id say so, where did you buy it from? Try and return it under store warranty before you return it under manufacture warranty.
