Default has anyone tried this?

i havea 92 xj and i prefer the interior of the 96- models rather then 97+ but for the 97+ model i like the front panel is there a way to be able to swap out the front panel that holds the headlight bezels and grill from a 96- to a 97+ model? i hope you understand what im trying to get at

The front clip? If so yes, it's been done many times. AFAIK it's a direct bolt on.

yes that what it is sorrry i could remember the name at the moment would i need ot replace any other parts for ti to fit on better like fenders or anything?

Well, a guy I know is turning an 87 Comanche into a 97 Comanche by swapping parts from a 97 Cherokee... He's done everything from the grill to the dash/steering column/front seats and center console, and all but the firewall bracket for the steering column were direct bolt-in... so I'd say yes, your newer grill should fit an older Cherokee.
