So I just had a thought
Is there any way you could make fold down seats with a 5 point harness

I have no real idea how it would work and still be safe
Maybe use 2 passenger side grand Cherokee rear seats because there more like buckets and they should still fit

The only reason I thought about making this is to have people in the back and then you could fold down the seats for room for gear

I realize you need to have a bar behind the seats to secure the harness but you should be able to make it removable with bolts and still have it safe

I was just wondering if anyone else has ever thought of anything like this or done this before

 

Imo harnesses are extremely unsafe without a rollcage. You do both or none. If you roll without a cage and the roof is going to crush the last thing you want is to be stuck sitting upright. But if you roll with a cage the last thing you want is your head to be hitting rollbar tubing like a pinball machine.

 

There will defiantly be a role cage inside that's already happening

And I'm sure there is some kind of big head rest you could make so your head would never contact the bar behind you
