Default Harbor Freight Scan Tool on sale $100..any good?

Latest Harbor Fright flyer has a coupon for their CAN-OBDII Scan tool for $100. That's $50 off supposedly. Has any one bought one of these? Are they any good, or just another piece of ChiCom junk?

BTW--NEVER buy a cutting tool of any sort from Harbor Fright. IMHO.

I you have a smartphone or tablet you can do better with a OBD2 dongle and a scanner app for less money

Scan gauge 2 is like 80 bucks works like a champ too.Its small so you can leave it hooked up and use it to watch your mpg or anything else you want.

+1

Just make sure you get the ELM27 (or something like that) seems people have issues with cheaper ones.

BT ODBII adapter and torque free costs $28 total. Lol.

I have a power hand planer that is still sharp and does a great job! But the garden loppers and drills...not such good performance.

And some other stuff I looked at to buy just appeared very low grade and unreliable. I am afraid to buy jack stands from them too.

Green tarps--Never let me down yet.
