Harbor Freight Off-Road Light Kit Install $24
I have been wanting some lights for my XJ and saw these at the Harbor Freight store for $24.
http://www.harborfreight.com/off-roa...stem-3029.html
I decided I would test them on my Sheriffs Ride (since Im out in that truck more often).
I installed them in about an hour. The kit comes everything you need (wiring, switch, fuses (already mounted in the wire))...its basically idiot proof.
All I had to do was splice in some longer wires since my siren box/control was located under the back seat.
I mounted mine on the my grill guard and might spring for two more if I like them.
Depending on how they do, Ill probably spring for more for my XJ and Sheriffs Ride. I like the fact that they cost $24 vs $60+ for the PIAA, KC, ARB lights.
Pics!

the oblong shape was a little off-putting at first but they have grown on me.
Just drove around some county roads...these things are BRIGHT!!!
I tried to snap a few pics but they are so bright the auto-iris on my cameras couldn't adjust enough to capture an image

Stupid question, I am new to this. I am going to pick up four of these after work. No roof rack so I cannot mount them there which is where I want them. I will need to settle for them on the bumper in the front. What is the easiest way to get these installed there? Self tapping screws, or will I need to drill? Is the bumper even the best place, or somewhere up by the grill?

self tapping screws wont work unless you modify the mount. With that mounts that come with the lights (stud with a nut/washer on the end) you will have to drill a hole for the stud to fit down in then attach the nut from the other side.
Let me know if you want pictures or need any help.

I dont know, since I installed them on my sheriffs ride I wired them into my switch/siren box since it has switches pre-installed. I did not use the stock switch...its going in the parts bin in the garage.

The switch is supposed to light up when you have them on. If it lights up when you have it off, or all the time, then either somethings on the wrong plug, or the switch is faulty.
