Anybody ever use these lights from harbor freight. I was thinking about getting some, but don't want to waste the money if they are going to be a pos. I think I've heard people saying good things about them on here. Can anyone back that up?

I have em. theyre not to bad for the price.

The beam is a pencil style. but for the money theyre decent. theyre brighter then my low and high beam (even tho i have one high beam light working haha) But hey if your looking to get a hellave a good light i would try this and get a HID bulbs and that would rock.
The only downside i have against it is the power cord and fuse kinda suck. the inline fuse is a 15amp or 20amp, dont remember which, bus fuse. so its the bigger yellow one. i blew that setting it up, so a small normal whichever correct size fuse is in its place. but in general the power cord running from the battery is a little short, at least the way i routed it. But hey i was too lazy to lengthen it. Here's where i placed my switch...

Thats the farthest the power cord would go.

i've had a set on my 01 for about 6 months and have no real complaints.
they light up a dark road better than the $50 pilot lights i had on a previous vehicle.
like was said before, the wiring could be a little longer in spots, and the mounting bolt is also the bolt to adjust where they point which is kindof a pain (i have mine mounted on top of my front bumper).
i'm thinking about putting in some of the ultra white bulbs as they have more of a yellow beam than my silverstar headlamps.
i say go for it...i was pleasantly suprised.

screw the wiring they come with, use a relay, they'll probably be a little brighter and you don't have all that juice running through small gauge wire and a questionable switch.
the wiring isnt that small. its just the right size for it. As for the switch...its questionable, but for the money everything well for it. Just needs better bulbs thats all

Thanks everyone for your input. I'm definitely going to get a better switch for it I already got extra wire from other projects so I should be fine. I'm going to put them on the a-pillar with the mounts I'm getting from jonjon99xj.

I don't care what size that wire is, it should still be run with a relay or you're asking for problems. Unless it's a street queen and you use the lights to show off for 5 minutes.

The switch is very questionable, I have fried two of them, I just got a higher amp toggle from autozone and haven't had any switch problems since.
