Default Got to try out the new lift and tires today

So I got try out the jeep today and had a blast. Tore my Muffler off, but that was just a good reason to go pick up a Flowmaster 40 series. Here's some pics of some Ryan's jeep (the green one) and My black Jeep Cherokee. I gotta say I'm real impressed with this Rough Country 4.5" Lift, and These Kumho Road Venture MT KL71's are a hell of a tire!

Glad you mentioned those tires. I was looking at getting those myself. Glad to hear they are a decent tire!

well the lift hasnt been on a year yet....all of em are shot..nitrogen shocks(9000's i blv)...i let the rear down the other weekend because my rear is like sideways .....another problem to root out....long story short i unbolted the lower shock mounts , u-bolts and lowerd the rear and i could just compress them with slim or no resistance all the way and they just stayed when i let go.... no shock absorbtion. or rebound at all.....i went up to my local AA autoparts.....its a lifted vehical paradise... just how it is here in coal country there huge into suspensions, and components ...and they tell me ranchos are junk they've been having many problems....i mean shocks are no big deal either way(to replace) but i thought if i could prevent that hapening to you because we did pay for them and i hate spending decent money and like i said not even a year maby 7 months at most......so im just going with skyjackers...47.50 a peice with 2 or 4yr warrenty any size all the way up to 13" of suspension....other finacial things came up and there still not replaced and now my rear leafs are already sagging ...im not saying you have a bad set too but it i figured id pass it on...maby save you the same hassle

Oh it was a blast! Can't WAIT to get out there again

As for the long arm kit... not yet... YET, lol. That is definately on the list of upgrades though.

The shocks are the hydro shocks that came with the RC lift. I know they're a cheap shock, but I bought the lift as a kit. It performs really well, and eventually I'll end up throwing some bilstiens or edelbrocks on it anyway. When going to that long arm upgrade most likely as I'll need more travel on the shocks.

Those kumho's definately performed well, and will do much better I'm sure when it's not all snow and frozen mud. Don't regret any of the decisions I've made so far on this build.
