I got my XJ stuck, and slid into a tree.
I got caught up on a rock because of the control arm, then it started pouring down rain. i kept trying to get loose and got loose, might have gave it a little to much gas, In front of me was two flat slick rocks, with a 6in drop off on a decently steep hill . I slid down the hill went down the drop and slid into a tree.
i took the pics after i came back to check it out after the rain stopped. Wasnt far from my house
What would be the best way to get out? My uncle has a winch on his jeep.

Hit the local junkyard and see if you can find an XJ with a hitch. It's not that difficult to install assuming you grab the nutstrips from the donor. Go out there, throw it on and yank that dude outta there.

X2 that jeep isnt stuck very bad more just doesnt have the tires to get itself out. with a winch and putting it in reverse and hitting the gas should be too hard to get out, but like every1 else said get a hitch. i had one on my old xj and am gonna transfere it to my new one for sure so i have cheap reliable rear recovery points.

exactly..i think hes learned his lesson..unless he wheels again before getting any, then maybe he just should be wheeling...and, from the sounds of it, he was wheeling ALONE...thats a double whammy right there..no recovery points and possibly was wheeling alone

heyyyy. play nice. leave the kid alone. shiznit happens. get it out and go on to the next trail. at least make sure to drop a hitch in the back.
there's more than one way to put recovery points on your vehicle. find out what's the best alternative for you. the name of the game is getting muddy. figuring out how to get it out of a hole is the fun part.

The other jeep in the picture is my uncles JK.
He winched me out enough so I could straighten up. I put a chain around my axle and he connected the winch to the chain.

the pictures aren't in order, but you can tell when I'm not stuck anymore.
It doesn't look as steep in the pictures, but it was kinda steep. the part I slid out on was the worst part. My uncle even had a hard time.
It took sometime but we both got out. After I got out my uncle had to focus on getting himself out so he didn't slide down the bank or hit the same tree I hit. Because he couldn't back up the hill without sliding into the bank.

Glad to see you got it out of there. That damage sucks a bit, I had a hell of a time finding the fiberglass nose piece for my old 99 when the ex wife nailed a deer. Those look like PA plates on the XJ.
