my solution to the shackle/exhaust noise
2 pieces of heavy duty rubber put on with heavy duty zip ties. No noise whatsoever and no sign of melting, and also no that noticeable.

I think i can help you on the rubbing issue i had the same problem on my other xj. I trimmed and made it look stock. As for the exhaust tip i too have a solution for that.....cut it off right at the axle. (I will see if i can round up a pic of my old one pre trim and post trim.)

Looks nice, but the vibration fix with a plastic ziptie and rubber is going to melt and stink once the tailpipe gets hot.
