It does have one strange issue...if you peg the go pedal to the floor it dies.....but if you just drive normal....goes great all day!
TPS? It's renix so I am not very educated on it's particulars.

I am not jealous at all. I think someone may have just put the Waggy tag on it,
First NO WOOD, Waggies from 87 had the 242 t-case and the 44 in the rear.
If it is an actual woody then someone before you bought it swapped out the good parts and put the bad parts in.
Hope you have some luck and are wrong about the t-case and rear Diff. Other wise this would be the FIRST waggy I have seen from 87 that has no rear D44

From what I can tell (with title and books and VIN) it is a wagoneer....and looks to have D35 with 10" (finned) drums. Has wood accents inside. and everything looks to be stock. Did all waggy's come with wood outside? Did they all come with D44's or was that an option? I read somewhere that it was rare to find the D44 rear axle...but I slept since then...so I don't remember where I read that.
Paint may not be stock...but all else seems to be stock....even the picture of servicing the rear axle matches what's under there....and it looks like a D35 to me......

When in doubt post a pic of the axle..
I would believe in the past 22 years someone might not have like the wood and removed it infavor of paint.
I am not up and up on the waggy but did they have a particular interior? Certain fabric not used on the Cherokee?

Will Do! It for sure does have Waggy interior! There are Manufactors stickers everywhere with AMC/Jeep Wagoneer. And from what I have seen on the web....some waggy's came without wood. It has all the factory books in the glove box and it seems to be in pretty good shape.
