I'd go with the kevlars. I have the km2s but have yet to drive on them. Those kevlars have CRAZY gaps between lugs.

I have read a lot of places that you barelyget 20000 miles out of them. But I have no personal experience and that just what I've read. Apparently if you have a dd or do any kind of highway driving the duratrack it supposed to be better than the mtr. I would be interested to see what other people on here say as I am also looking at the goodyears or the bfgs

But ontop of all that... The mtr with kevlar is supposed to be one of the best tires offroad you can buy!

Ya. They look really really nice. Maybe in my future! Right now, it's boggers though....unless I find a deal (I almost always do).

Offroad kevlars are a little better than km2's. on road km2's are better.
I know your looking between these 2 but if you want a great tire, Cooper came out with the discoverer stt a little while ago and they have damn good road manners for an m/t and are comparable to km2's offroad. you can easily get 40k outa them. gl getting that with mtr or km2.

One of my wheeling buddies recently got some kevlars on his GC. When he parked next to me, I noticed that they look way beefier than my KM2's. Even though they are the "same" size, the contact area of the kevlars was about and inch wider. Totally cosmetic aspect.

When we were out wheeling, I never noted a time that I thought either rig gripped the rocks better than the other. He has been a little disappointed in them so far, because his older Hankook Mt's that they replaced seemed to grab better. The kevlars may need to be worn in a little more, though.

It's too early to say on mileage for his rig. I have been happy with my KM2s so far.

I think the km2s look amazing! And the kevlars look great too... But the asymetrical lines on them dont help you ouy much when rotating tires either. Have you looked at general grabber mud terains yet? I talked to a vender at a jeep show and he said that everyone who tries them loves em! But they felt like such a soft compound that i doubt they will get the tread wear rating that the KM2s have.

they are asymmetrical not directional. you would rotate them as you would for any other tire.

I was looking at the grabber too with the red letters. Heard lots of good things about them. I'd have to keep the red on the inside since wouldn't look good on a green colored xj with everything else being black. Also agree with the kev tread pattern. That's one of the reasons would not go with it
