Goodyear Authority or Goodyear DuraTrac?
Hey everybody. I was just wondering which one of these you think would have a better bite to them. I won't be doing any serious off-roading but I would like to be able to tear through mud and snow though. They will be used mostly for daily pavement driving, so a smooth ride would be nice. Thanks for help in advance.
I can't comment on the DuraTracs because I have never used them but I got my 31X10.5 Autorities right after they hit the shelves in May. Love them. They hook up good and are much quieter on the road than they look like they should be. Been having no problems with snow either- this weekend we had about 18" of snow and I had no issues driving around town or through my field to get to my barn (and we do not shovel our driveway- that is why I have two Jeeps and a Dodge 2500 4x4).
I haven't done any hardcore wheeling yet, but on trails/fields/mild hills they work great. Clear mud pretty well too, but I wouldn't call them a mud-terrain by any means.

I cant really say anything about the Authority's since I have never driven or even seen one. But I do have the Duratac's, and absolutely love them... Nice and quiet on the road, but still fairly aggressive. I have not had them out yet in mud, but in deep snow they just bite right in and dig through.
