Good Write-up
 

Im ordering gears today to put in my dana 30 and 8.25. Im still unsure on gears to go with its either 4.10 or 4.56 but anyways. I only found one write up and I have no clue on what to do so I need a good one and the one I found had a locker installed already so Does anyone know any other that I can look at?

Well thats another reason Id like a good write up so I can see what tools I need and if its something im able to do. My step dad changed the gears in my moms Bronco not to long ago. I dont know if its any different or not. Also since your already on here. Are you running or will you be running any deals soon on gears?

I did I bought the Dana 44 rubicon mopar axles and the atlas TC but, Those are going on a cherokee I bought a few weeks back. Has a perfect body on it but gutted.

What gears you get depends on what tires you plan on running and how much street driving you'll do. If it's mostly street and you aren't going bigger than 31's, I would go with the 4.56. If you plan on going bigger or spending more time on the trails, go deeper, say 4.88 or 5.13. I wouldn't push the 30/8.25 bigger than 35's though. And that's only with upgraded axle shafts.

Ill only be running 33 12.50 17s maybe not as wide one day. Thats as big as im going. Its split half and half between road and trails. Im more concerned about road more than trails though. This jeep is only going to be doing light trails I have another in progress for big stuff

Go with the 4.56 gears then. 4.88 would be better and would give you a final ratio closer to the stock setup.

What do you mean 4.88 would get me closer to stock setup?
