Ok Im tack welding my rear fenders where the last owner cut them to high.. I want a good epoxy that wont crack or shrink to kind of seal them up real well..

I have to be able to sand it and paint it..

I have seen it used before and I looked good but I dont know what they used..

um, no. if you cant fully weld it, find someone who can.

Mind if I ask why? my 04 montero has the tabs folded over and spot welded then has epoxy over it. Also last year I met a guy on the trail last year that covered his with a epoxy after he welded it. To make the edges look better. At that time he had it on there for 2 years and It held up. That's the one I saw that looked good I didnt think to ask what epoxy he used.

So is there a reason you say not to use any? I know some of the cheep ones have a strength of 3960 PSI and the better ones are allot stronger then that.

After the spot welding all the way around I plan to use this on the inside

JB Weld! It sets like metal and can definitely be sanded or grinded afterward.

What I plan to use I hacked the **** out of mind, I should have read over the wright up one last time before getting grinder happy

a XJ isnt a montero. a montero has a body and a frame. your body is your frame.

Not trying to be mean but just cause you saw it done doesn't mean it was done the right way

I just have little slits showing where I cut(hacked) and folded ill mig it up from the inside then use the jb weld as a filler for the small little nooks that are visible .

Find some Devcon Liquid Steel and leave the JB Weld alone. The Devcon will work much better and fill the nooks and crannies.

Yet there both spot welded the same way? If you look at my 90 xj it is all folded tabs spot welded .

Im not really asking if I can I know I can Im looking for a good epoxy.

I agree this is some of the best stuff I have ever used.

What color is it once set up and cured good? Is it easily sand able?
