You need to go buy that right now. Awesome deal. If that was in my area I'd jump at it. It's already set up for an xj so that makes it that much better.

Is it still worth it with drum brakes? I thought one of the best perks about it was the disc brakes? Also i was curious i read somewhere where that you lose ground clearence conpared to the d44? Anyone know how much clearence difference higher or lower from the d35? So i can compare?

Reason that in getting a 8.8 is bc i plan to regear (to 4.88 ) only once, and i plan to run 35s down the road but the plan is to regear in a few months

I wouldn't buy that.... why do that work and still have drums? I got my 8.8 from a pick and pull for $165.

Bigger axle to support 35s. And to everyone do the disc brakes make that much of a difference?

Hell yes. I went from crappy drum to disks and especially with bigger tires it makes that big of a difference....... bigger tire= needs more stopping power

If drum brakes are horrible why is it majority ofpeople say that the d44 is a better swap than the 8.8 and the d44 has drums if im not mistaken

You can do whatever you want. I personally felt a massive difference in stopping power and stopping distance. If you want drums then go for it. I simply said I wouldn't buy it.
