Default Good Deal?

Hey im new to offroad trucks and i really wanted to get into offroading. Ive been looking at a lot of trucks and this one really caught my attention. I was wondering if this was a good deal?

$5,000 is what I paid for my '01 XJ with 95,000 miles on the odo this past April. Seems a bit steep for a 20 year old XJ - regardless of what mods are on it, you never get the return on investment for them.

I guess it all winds down to what you want. I'd personally be weary of the chop he did. Unless I knew him well, and knew what his fab skills were like I'd probably walk on it - if he just cut the top off and didn't add a cage or any sort of structural reinforcement then that is something you'd have to do.

I know what I have into my rig as it sits now, and quite honestly I'd be happy to get $5000 for it, but it's also a 2000 XJ Limited with all the bells and whistles with just over 100k miles on it, not a 20 year old XJ with nearly 250,000 miles on it.
