The price is way too high, for the condition it's in. I would remind him he's trying to sell a car. that's on the "cash for clunkers" list. And I do believe selling it without working seat belts is illegal. (Just like selling one with out the catalytic converter, Or the leaded gas re-stricter plate in the filler tube removed.)

 

Another thing is just because it was previously owned by a mechanic doesn't mean that it's not going to have any problems. My brother-in-law is a mechanic and his cars run like crap.
