I recently drove three cherokee's i was looking to buy. all 1996's, the first was a dealer and was a white sport with 186k miles but had a lot of rust and cracked window and they wanted 1950$. personally i think it was junk and shouldnt have sold for mor then 1k.
second was white and a sport as well with 153k miles and only had the commen wisconsin rust on the rockers alittle on the door handles and lots of new parts, like breaks and the front end was all new(salvage title)for 2400$
the third was a green jeep country with crome bumpers and grill with power everything and the 242 transfer case with 189k miles. the guy wants 1950$ and the jeep is in mint condition as far as the body goes. besides the floor on the roadside has some rust coming through. good suspension and intererior is mint as well. I think this is a good buy over the others even tho it has the highest of the miles. anyone think the same?

I think they are all kinda high. Id offer him like 1200 for the green country.

i baught the green country and talked him down abit. not much but i really didnt wana let it go. if you lived in upstate wisconsin you would understand how hard it is to get a good buy.everyone is in it for the money and this was a girl owned jeep for the last ten years and she had a bit of money put into it. I feel goot about the buy so i suppose thats what matters. the price of a cherokee up here thats newer like the 2001 is over 6 grand regardless of the miles really

and ya ha the rust belt is terrible. you will see cars that are only a year old with rust in wisconsin. gotta wash your car at least twice a week to keep it clean. buying cars from the south isnt unheard of around here
