Ghetto LHD Cherokee
yeah I have....They are converted at a facility about 6 miles from my house...this company also imports from Japan, converts the gauge cluster to reflect miles rather than kilometers. They are ranging from $8,000 to $10,000. None of them have over 60,000 miles. It is high, but these vehicles are refurbished, any issues are fixed and someone has a good Jeep. Shoot, my '00 could be financed for up to $8200 by a bank. (I checked) Thank GOD I didn't pay that much, but just saying. The company is called U.S. Drive Right.
Where were all these replies when i posted to ask about RHD XJ's?
Do you happen to know what components of the steering are different than a RHD? I have a good deal on one for basically nothing, but dont wanna buy it if i'm just going to be screwed for modding it.
The initial cost of a RHD XJ was a minor setback compared to the cost of replacement parts. Since the production numbers are low, the parts demand is low. Almost everything has to be special ordered and the cost can be double that of a standard vehicle. If you get into a wreck at have to replace all the steering you are going to be out some serious cash.
