gets to hot and wont start

gets to hot and wont start

I have a 96 jeep Cherokee sport has a 4.0 when driving ill go to slow down or stop and my jeep will shut off and has to cool down awhile before it will start back up what can cause this HELP!!!!!

Classic symptom of a failing IAC motor. If it dies while driving and won't restart after cooling down for about 10 minutes, I would blame the cam sensor.
