Gas Mileage on your Cherokee.
I would like to hear what kind of Gas Mileage all of you getting on your Cherokee? When i do find the one i want it will my daily driver and being on low income if they only get 8 mpg city and 12 highway as one person said then i will not be able to afford to use one as my daily driver. Thanks in advance for posting your M.P.G'S.
sorry but if you are asking this question you will not be able to afford it. cherokees get horrible MPG's theses days compared to other vehicles. get a crappy honda as a dd and cherokee as your wheeler.

I agree. Some people claim 20mpg on here but i dont see it. I got 15mpg city and 16 highway when it was stock and now i get 12 city and 16 highway after being lifted. Even my dads brand new 2012 jk only gets 15/16 mpg. Jeeps just are not made for good gas mileage.

I multiply my miles by 11%. Thats the difference between stock tires and 33's.

My 93 2 door 5 speed gets 20-23 mpg city/suburb. I only go 40-45 mph, keep the RPMs low, and accelerate/stop slow and easy. My XJ is stock with 235s and I also use NON-ethanol fuel.

I got 20+ on a 700ish mile trip home and back. Other than that I've seen like 16 and under. But i've had some pretty bad luck with some check engine codes that i just fixed, hopefully it will climb back up. and that was stock... now im 4" with 31's
does people not understand that if ur speedo meter gear isnt rite then ur mileing isnt going to be rite ok lets say ur running 3.55 gears and 33's and the stock speedo meter gears a mile isnt a mile u can test this be stopping at a mile marker and reset the thing on the gauge cluster and drive from mile marker to mile marker and see what u get when i done it i got 0.7 of a mile and b4 someone says anything i tryed it 3 different times and got the samething now how do ya calculate that
I love speeling
I averaged a little over 18 on my commute to work.. 60 miles each way, all freeway. I hit the throttle whenever I needed to, I didn't baby it. And cruise was set at 67. That is on 31's and the heat happy ZJ auto. Best I ever got was 19.6. Now I have a little accent that gets 36.. Much better!
