So I dont know if this is the right place for this thread but the Mods can always move it.

While out and about today with my buddy we found this new grand...Check this thing out we think its Jeeps off road test vehicle or something...Some serious bumpers on this thing and there was a dent on every pannel. Pretty crazy.....Guess this is a perk of living near detroit....

Those bumpers are UGLY. And how did they damage the hood like that? It looks like they drove into something sideways.

What you have there is a test mule. That is actually a 2011 Grand Cherokee. Look at the tail lights, and google 2011 GC. It has the new V6 in it and those bumpers are there because they hook onto roll preventing wheels for cornering load tests for the stability control system. They have older model headlights fitted so that it isn't easily identified, but they forgot to disguise the rear end...that's why the headlights look weird; they don't fit..This vehicle more than likely has no VIN and will be destroyed afterwards.

GOOD FIND!

Wait til you see the new Jeep subcompact!!

It is just a concept now, but would you even be surprised if they actually released one? After seeing the bastard Jeep Compass, anything is possible. I saw one today that was sky-blue and it was one of the ugliest vehicles I've ever seen.

they test alot of new vehicles where i live. we see them a lot painted in weird colors and four or five of them doing the weirdest shizznit. like the new rams, before they came out, were towing trailers with big wooden boards as wind blocks to create drag. i geuss they were testing the gas mileage while towing a load like a 5th wheel or something?

anyways, we see them all before they come out. i can keep an eye out for new jeeps for you fellas. i am so used to seeing them i don't even look twice anymore.

we followed the heck out of he new beetles when they came out though.

i am so jealous! we had the GM testing track about 20 minutes away from my house in AZ so we get to see all those vehicles on the brutal test track battling the AZ heat. its kinda cool haha.

Please do keep us informed =]

Cool

Those bumpers are almost as bad as this one! I saw it in the junk yard a few months ago.

I've never seen any concept Jeeps running around, but I did see a Ford focus concept years ago. They were just running around town. It had leather panels (like a car bra) all over it to try and disguise it. I wish I had that job!
