Alright Everyone I finally found a donor!

The swap will be as follows:

Recepient:

1994 Jeep Cherokee 2WD Auto 146k 3" RC 31x10.5 AT

Donor:

1998 Jeep Cherokee 4WD Auto 150k

Are there any differences I should look out for? Are the tranny plugs the same? I excited

 

You gonna make a log of your 4x4 conversion process? My 2wd MAY be looking forward to one soon, depending on the money and work

 

I will. I have yet to see a good DIY on this topic. I'm pulling both Jeeps into my friends Plane Hangar and do the swap side by side.

 

I have my trail trashed '97 with 3.5" RE and 33x10.5 MT/R's and I'm thinking doing the 4WD swap to my 2001 5-speed as it has no issues and my '97 spends more time under the wrench than on the rode. It'd be fine if I could afford a tow rig and trailer but I can't and that thing has no road manners.

But boy, when I'm driving less than 10mph down a trail or across rocks does it perform

 

I will definitely follow your thread and probably ask you lots of questions if I end up doing this swap between my two jeeps.
