That is one of those craigslist postings that you wonder if it's not just a joke. I don't spell that great but to spell the same word 2 times like that is worth the money. Sorry if I hurt feelings, it is 2:30 am here.
And I got mine for 400. All it needed was tires deals are out there and I have found that for 1000 you can get a pretty good xj just be a little patient and smart

This is either an abandoned or salvaged jeep. Not really good for anything but parts.... and I say that loosely because I am not sure from looking that it could have parts worth selling.... maybe windows? You might slap some tires and wheels on this thing and drive out not problem... or you might just see it sitting in your yard the same way.

If it's too good to be true, it most likely is. No title means a huge pain to get it in your name, and sometimes the hoops you have to jump through are not worth it. For parts only? Might be a good deal, to drive? I think not.

Again I don't think the title is the biggest issue here, as long as he has a bill of sale and registration from the original owner or he is the owner, the jeep is just in bad shape, period.
Like I said I got my jeep without a title, all I had to do was fill out an extra easy from and the price was the same as a regular title transfer, they said it would take up to a month but I got it in 2 1/2 weeks. Thats in oregon though, and they just changed the lost title fee this year, it used to be double that.

I wouldn't buy anything without a title before checking the VIN # to verify it's not stolen. If you are driving it or working on it, even if you didn't steal it, you are in possession of it. Is it worth all the aggravation? JMO

Well i talked to the guy today, It is a 92 with 201k. He says that it was his grandmas and she gave it to his mom and his mom gave it to him for his first car. And that it was his pride and joy til it got messed up on the drivers side. I asked him about the wheels and he just said that he sold them. He said that the time he had it he kept it well maintained. And that he actually just changed the oil and put a new water pump on it before he parked it like this. He said that you could get a salvage title for it no problem. But he said that it is a long story of why there isnt a title. But i did get the vin so im goin to think about it some more. And maybe take a look at it tomorrow and put some wheels and tires on it and drive it to see how it does.

well, since it's been in his family, he should be able to get an ownership title for it easier than you can.
but i still don't think it's worth it.

Meh maybe for 100$ if you can get a title. Mine was 750 with a tad bit of rust on body panels but not a speck of it on any bolts or anything anywhere. Also Mine has a title and not much wrong with it. I drive it to school and places everyday.

Yea im still thinking about it. I didnt get a chance to go and look at it today. Maybe tomorrow. I just did the free carfax report and its only coming up with 3 reports. To me thats not alot for its age. I had an 03 evo that had 24 reports! And it was fine. But does anyone know if i can call the lisence bureau and get a report as if it is stolen or not? Or where can i go to find this info out?
