Default Ford f250 transfer case guts in a np231?

I was wondering if anyone out there had took guts from an f250 case and put them in a np231. One of my old friends did this said it was like running 4.56 gears in it. slow but never got stuck a climbed huge hills. Never figured out what year and the exact transfer case. I want to do something like that to my jeep.

I think your friend lied to you. You can make doublers but I haven't seen any with ford cases mixed with jeeps.

No but you can get a wider chain. If you want a gear driven case you can use a Dana 300 with a flip kit or aftermarket ones like Atlas or the Stak, which has a bad rep.

I think most fords use BW (Borg and Warner) transfers. Are we talking the light duty or super duty 250s? We have NP or NV.

Have you look at the teraflex low231 kit?
