Thank you!! I got in big trouble in high school for my report on the civil war. I refuse to lie and write that it was fought over slavery. It was fought over political and land issues. Yes it is heritage and not hate. Only the ignorant make it that way. That is all.

Look, I'm with all you guys supporting the flag. Even though I'm from the North I respect it and you're 100% correct. It's just American history.

But, it would be nice if this argument could stop before a really good thread gets closed over one persons ignorance.

I wouldn't sweat it dude. Not your fault, if somebody doesn't like something they should keep it to themselves anyway. What good is stirring up a bunch of stuff over the internet going to do?

Go ahead and fly it all you want. Just because you have some illusion that it has a different meaning doesnt make it true. Even if it does have that meaning its primary one isone that is malicious and one that is well established. To refuse that would be at the very least called ignorance. But I doubt that you are unaware, and so ignorance is not a term that could grace you with, so that would be stubborness to see whats directly in front of your face.

And dont you know say something nice or not say anything at all.
Not to cause an argument. I have been sitting here a minute trying to bite my tongue. I could gladly get into a debate on confederacy and the civil war. IMHO opinion, this country needs confederacy more now than ever. Just because the United Socialist States of America requires alot of their government funded schools to teach that the civil war was all about slavery or racism, doesn't mean it's true. There's nothing offensive about it at all. It was about the government becoming too powerful, too intrusive, and the confederates tried to excersize their RIGHT to succeed from a corrup government, And were not allowed to do so. I'm not saying any of this to be argumentative, I'm telling you to just go do some research on it, the truth is out there. Now I'll throw up a couple of images that are not meant to offend anyone. Just something to think about, then we can put this conversation behind us (at least in a thread not specifically for that purpose) and get back to checking out some WICKED jeep flex
