it's been a long time since I bought those shocks, so I don't remember who/where/part# yaknow. I do remember that I had to look around for quite a while (seemed like forever to me) to find the 'right' ones that were long enough. I'll shop around again, and let ya know what they were?
rear leafs are skyjacker 5.5" with rc 2" shackle and 3.5" (rc?)blocks. front are rustys' 8.5-9" coil with 1.75" spacer.. somehow when I was frankenstein-ing my xj the math worked out to 10.5" all around... she sags a lil now tho lol the lowers on those arms I had custom made by Offroad Limited, out here in Aurora, very happy with them!
the uppers are the adjustable uppers... from rc If memoery serves.in hindsight, I might have tried making my own, but my welding skills are still around the 8yo level lol! if I was going to switch from short to long today, I'd def try to make my own, I mean whats the worst that can happen! muhaha!
and I know I already posted a pic, but I went out after school the other night and horsed around in the city, my blood stops pumping when I'm level, gotta get some degrees in me!
hehe, that's my Lewis/Clark pose... I guess some captain uses it now :P
working out something in my melon, like a telescoping guide for the springs, so they don't try to jump ship! pain in the butt to put back in when yer alone... unless there's a tree nearby! (see album lol)
I know that didn't answer your shock question, but I will look around and see if I can find either receipts, or other stuff to help on the ID quest.
did that answer most questions y'all had tho? if not, I'll try and be more specific?
Happy Trails! in/out of the city
(sorry for the night pics, I might get brave enough to try it in broad daylight one o these days haha)
the extended brake lines I had made out here at.... argh! I can't remember the name, it's a racing car shop, and they made the lines. very cool. I think I had them make em 18" or 22" I'll get a tape later today and measure lol if I remember

yeah, the lowers are long, I still call em short uppers and long lowers, like I say, I'm no genius, and all the different names for basically the same parts really makes me have to go to the latrine, yaknow! I just call em what I want and hopefully all you smarter people out there can sort it out :P I'm sure that if I called my hood an engine cover, I'd hear about it too lol!
have you seen that chain drive vid on utube? hydraulic/chain driven buggy. looks like it's BA! but it also looks like the fun is taken away from it since theres no challenge. but some of the stuff that guy climbs on/over is just crazy! one wheel is way over the pass side and the drivers wheel is like 8' down. now if something like that was possible for our xjs, I'd def think of signing up for that lol for a minute till I couldn't resist the urge to do some modification to it... like a turret! lol j/k
