This was brought up earlier. With a seat belt you are restricted (like you should) but with doors you have protection in the event of a roll over or topple.

With no doors you do not have that safety barrier, so in the even of a roll over you are pinned to the seat and are free to land where the jeep puts you, (possibly causing harm even in a SLOW roll over). So with no seat belt you can now catch your body with your feet, sure there is the possibility of being pinned or a multi roll over, but for the average trail ride where that is near impossible it is not a worry.

I have had this theory put to the test.

I am 100% a seatbelt wearer but without doors is a different story do to the circumstance

Yeah, I flopped mine. I run doorless. I am GLAD I had my seat belt on, it could have been real bad. I have 5 points ready to go in. Please put a seat belt on. Just keep your legs and arms inside.

I have rolled my jeep all the way over (october '10) with doors on and wearing a seat belt it kept me and my passenger safe and secure, altho I was up against the door....

on the trail I have nearly put it on its side (in rock gardens) and If I would have gone on my side I would had a nice rock ledge in my side. I was able to have my feet on the ground in the event that it went all the way over I would have been fine.

With doors you have a nice safety barrier, without doors you loose that safety barrier allowing the jeep to put you into any obstacle without protection possibly causing serious damage.

Plus on the trail you are never going more than 15mph to begin with. atleast on my trails we dont it is all rocks, water falls, steps, and ledges.

again I am 100% for a seat belt but without doors you lose that safety barrier and I would rather catch myself than be placed face first into a rock because I couldnt move my body

If you roll over without doors and no seat belt. your gonna get thrown right under the rolling jeep.

speed = seat belt:

high speed = yes
low speed = no

when you do the trails that I do everything is low speed and crawling... if you manage to do a multi tumble there are other things to worry about
