i love how well my stock XJ flexes...i just unhooked the front swaybar....and i cant wait till i get the 2 inch lift on next weekend

Dude thats badass ! ! ! I don't know what everyone else is talking about scary, I guess they don't understand tractors and how much weight they can handle. Anyways man the only thing i see wrong is just the mounting to the buddy a little low and really the tube actually makes it weaker. but you got the right idea going. If i were you when you go to weld something up just take some angle iron do about 2' length weld it and bolt to the frame then something like c channel fro the crossmember or use exsisting one and just beef it up. Well i just wanted to say i really liked your idea very orginal and tempting to do myself.

By the way here's my flex before i got my bumper. Sorry cell pic

this is before my long arms. i will post more next week after i install the long arms!! this is usually what she thinks of me by the end of a day on the trail!!

The point isn't that tractors can handle lots of weight, the point is that the setup is not strong at all, or even a properly designed setup. Read the posts after his and maybe do some research before you begin to build anything for your Jeep, both for your sake and anyone else that is on the road with you. Hopefully doing some research and reading will help you understand...
