My bad, I completely missed the link you posted. $175 is a killer deal until you add shipping, core charge, and handling fee....

Transmission A.T., (6 cyl), 4x4 $179.99
Core Charge $40.00
SUBTOTAL: $219.99
SHIPPING: $150.00
HANDLING: $15.00 (7 business days)
WARRANTY: $50.00 (3yr parts warranty. $25 for 1yr parts warranty)
TAX: $0.00
TOTAL: $434.99

Shipping the core is not worth the $40.

Still beats $1200 i think.

True, PAP has several jeeps and their transmissions are about $75.... Or the same shop said they would rebuild it for less (not sure much) if I pulled it myself.

Ya, check that. Better to get deals locally anyway. I hope its not more than $400 for a rebuild. I remember getting trans rebuilt for $150-$200 before IN NY! lol

Yea apparently they don't like tracks to much. I had kevlar clutches, bigger boost valves, and shift points changed in mine. It's rock solid....too bad I'm converting to a 6 speed soon

I think I'm going to sell the jeep without fixing the transmission. You guys think $850-9 sounds fair?

My daily driver just quit on me and I don't really have the time or place to do a transmission swap.
