1. Excitement of looking for your first Jeep.
2. Worry that you've just got ripped off.
3. Remorse when you notice half the electrical stuff is not working as soon as the seller has split and you're pretty sure you did get ripped off.
4. Fear of facing your wife when you pull up in the driveway with your broken purchase.
5. Love of driving your Jeep and learning how to diagnose and repair every part of your new best friend.
Bonus #6. Insanity when you can't figure out why you still have a death wobble after replacing every part of the front suspension.

Great Post!! Although 4 doesn't apply to me. Still awesome.
Another reason for 6, as soon as you fix something, something else breaks. Just put new transmission fluid in and seconds later a tube falls into the fan spraying coolant everywhere.

Bonus #7. The Pride you feel when driving your rig even though you have three different colored doors and a tweaked front fender, still looks better than the thugged out H2 sitting next to you at the stop light.
Bonus #8. The Joy you feel when you reach the top of the trail with very little fuss while your "buddy" is still sipping his latte at the start of the trail in his FJ Cruiser.

My wife hated the ZJ when I got it home, she kept saying "you bought the first one you saw!", even though I was looking for months on CL, car lots, and ebay. She now loves it and picks it to run around in. I love driving it, I have a 150 mile round trip to work and back every day, well worth the 18mpg.
